SDSU Research Foundation logo
San Diego State University Research Foundation (SDSURF) is a 501(c)3 auxiliary of San Diego State University (SDSU), which administers approximately $125 million in grants and contracts annually from federal, state, and non-profit organizations. The Research Foundation is a founding member of CCAT and serves as Program Manager and Fiscal Administrator for the CCAT Program. In addition, SDSURF coordinates activities such as providing commercialization and transition services to competitively selected CCAT Program clients including product development awards, client management, commercialization planning, business consulting, and marketing support. SDSURF, as CCAT Program manager, provides contract management for the program.

EMC logo
The Entrepreneurial Management Center (EMC) at San Diego State University, College of Business Administration, is ranked among the top 25 business schools in the United States for entrepreneurship. The EMC is a CCAT program founder and performs the required preliminary and more advanced market analyses and feasibility studies for candidate technologies. In addition, the EMC works with CONNECT and other affiliates to provide new business consulting services for commercially viable products. Marketing, business faculty and students from the MBA programs participate in market research, internships and other CCAT Program activities.

CONNECT logo
CONNECT is a globally recognized non-profit organization fostering entrepreneurship in the San Diego region by CCATalyzing, accelerating, and supporting growth of the most promising technology and life science businesses. CONNECT provides linkages to the investment community and delivers targeted, high-level expertise to facilitate business growth and development through the sponsorship of SpringBoards, Show Case events, and other consulting/networking services for CCAT Program clients.

SPAWAR logo
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Pacific is a premier naval laboratory and is the link between CCAT and DoD sources of advanced technologies. SSC Pacific has the lead role of identifying technologies having DoD value and alternative-use potential. In addition, they participate in the test and evaluation of new technologies, identify transition paths for candidate technologies with the services and acquisition commands, and identify cost reduction benefits and insertion points within the acquisition cycle. SSC performs grant oversight and provide tested support for CCAT generated technology products for military applications.
